Pale-blue cotton, gold ink and an engraved baptismal shell
Scallop Shell is a baptism invitation for christenings at the font, drawn in gold line on pale blue: a scallop shell catching three falling drops of water.
The shell fills the centre of the card, its ten ribs washed by turns in pale blue and ivory, with small ears at the hinge and two gold sparkles beside the drops. Underneath, your little one’s name appears in a soft Cormorant serif above a gold seal. Shells have poured baptismal water for centuries, so the card tells guests what the day is without any explanation. A vellum wrap with a pale-blue ribbon slips off when guests open their link, rings spread out like ripples on a font, and letterpress numerals tick toward the date. When someone replies yes, water drops and flakes of gold leaf fall. Good for a christening at the parish font, a seaside baptism, or a family lunch afterwards.
When you choose this design, the invitation maker starts your welcome message with these words. Keep them or write your own.
The invitation shows these moments until you add your own, up to five.
