When a family spans two languages, a translated card is only half the job. Guests also need to read the date, the reply buttons and the RSVP form without guessing. On Reponelle each invitation is written in one of twelve languages, and the whole guest page follows it: buttons, labels, dates and numbers are translated, and Arabic invitations use a complete right-to-left layout.
For a bilingual wedding you have two simple options. Write your welcome message in both languages on one invitation, or make a second version of the same invitation in the other language and send each guest the link they will read most comfortably. Replies from both versions are kept in your account.
Create your free invitationMade for mixed families
Write the welcome in both languages, or send Spanish-speaking relatives a Spanish version with the same details.
An Arabic invitation reads right to left with Arabic dates, while English guests receive their own version.
Guests travelling from several countries get the date, venue map and travel notes in the language they know.
Engagements, milestone birthdays and reunions that bring relatives together from different countries.
Dinners and ceremonies for teams and partners who work in different languages.
Arabic-speaking families often celebrate the marriage contract separately. Send it its own invitation, in Arabic, with its own guest list.
Planning
List your guests by the language they read best. Most bilingual events need two versions at most.
Finish the invitation in one language, then create the second version and translate your own words.
Have a family member check names, titles and blessings, which automatic translation often gets wrong.
Give each guest the link in their language. Their replies are saved to your account either way.
Digital or printed
Printed bilingual invitations need room for two languages on one card. A digital invitation can give each guest their own version.
| Digital invitation | Printed bilingual card | |
|---|---|---|
| Layout | One language per version, with full right-to-left support | Two languages squeezed onto one card |
| Dates and buttons | Translated for the invitation language | Written out by hand in both languages |
| Corrections | Fix a phrase once and every link updates | Reprint both languages |
| Delivery abroad | Instant, anywhere in the world | International post and delays |
| RSVPs | All replies in one account | Separate reply cards to collect |
