A digital wedding invitation is a private wedding page that opens like an invitation. Each guest receives a personal link by WhatsApp, email or text, sees the design you chose with an animated opening, and replies in the same place. You no longer match handwritten reply cards to a spreadsheet: every RSVP, plus-one and dietary need lands in one guest list in your account.
Because online wedding invitations live on a page instead of on paper, they can hold what a card never could: a programme for the day, a dress code, a Google Maps link to the venue, a countdown and an add-to-calendar button. If the ceremony time moves, you change it once and every guest link shows the new time.

Send a short digital save the date as soon as you have a date and a city, so guests can book travel early. Follow with the full invitation later.
Ceremony and reception details, the programme, dress code and an RSVP form with plus-ones and dietary needs.
A lighter invitation for the first celebration, often sent to a smaller list a few weeks ahead.
Party invitations with their own date, place and guest list, separate from the wedding RSVP.
A private invitation for family and the wedding party, with its own reply deadline.
More notice, travel tips and a map link, with the invitation in the language your guests read best.
A save the date is a short notice sent months before the wedding invitation, so guests can keep the day free and book travel. On Reponelle you make it as its own small invitation: choose a design, enter your names, the date and the city, add a line such as “Invitation to follow”, and send each guest a personal link.
When the details are settled, create the full wedding invitation as a second invitation and send its links. The two are separate, each with its own guest links and replies, so ask for the firm RSVP on the wedding invitation. Both are free.
Timing
Send it once the date and city are fixed. For a destination wedding, 8–12 months gives guests time to plan travel.
The usual window for a local wedding. Allow 10–12 weeks for a destination wedding.
Set the deadline early enough to give your caterer and venue final numbers. Guests can change their reply until then.
Check who has not replied and message those guests directly. Any change you save reaches every link at once.
Digital or paper
Many couples now send most invitations digitally and print a few for relatives who prefer paper. Here is how the two compare.
| Digital invitation | Printed invitation | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free on Reponelle | Printing, envelopes and postage for every guest |
| Delivery | Instant, by WhatsApp, email or text | Days or weeks by post, longer abroad |
| RSVPs | Collected in one guest list as guests reply | Reply cards to chase and enter by hand |
| Changes | Update once; every guest sees it | Reprint, or send a separate note |
| Details | Programme, map, dress code, countdown and calendar | What fits on the card and inserts |
| Keepsake | A link guests can reopen | A card guests can keep and frame |
Questions
Yes. Online wedding invitations are now common, especially for guests who live far away. Many couples print a handful of cards for older relatives and send everyone else a personal link.
About 6 to 8 weeks before a local wedding and 10 to 12 weeks before a destination wedding. Save the dates usually go out 6 to 8 months ahead.
A short announcement of your wedding date and city, sent as a link instead of a card. On Reponelle it is its own invitation: pick a design, add your names, the date and the place, and share a personal link with each guest. The full wedding invitation follows later as a separate invitation.
A save the date helps when guests must travel or the wedding falls on a holiday weekend; for a small local wedding the invitation alone is enough. If you send both, they are two separate invitations with their own guest links, and the RSVP that counts is the one on the wedding invitation.
Each guest opens their personal link and chooses attending, maybe or declining. They can say whether they are bringing a plus-one (if you allow one), choose a dietary need and add a note. You see every reply in your account.
Yes. You choose whether your invitation allows a plus-one. Turn it off and every guest replies only for themselves.
No. The invitation opens in any phone or computer browser. Only you, as the host, sign in.
Nothing. Every design, the animated opening, personal guest links and RSVP tracking are free, with no payment details. If you would rather we design and send your invitations for you, our paid Wedding concierge is coming soon.
Each invitation is written in one of twelve languages: English, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Italian, Indonesian, Polish or Turkish. For a bilingual wedding you can write your welcome message in both languages, or make a second version of the invitation and send each guest the one they read best.
