Velvet Salon: a party invitation template

Velvet Salon is a luxury party invitation template in wine-red velvet and antique gold, for milestone birthdays, private recitals and grown-up evening parties.

The card is pure theater: pleated burgundy drapes behind a fine gold frame, the date in pale gold and the title in large cream serif type. Guests arrive the way an audience does, as a pair of velvet curtains parts to reveal the invitation. The days left glow on a lit theater marquee, and the running order is printed like a playbill, act by act. Rose petals drift down each time a guest accepts. Use it for a fortieth or fiftieth birthday with a string quartet, a holiday party in a hotel bar, or a dinner a company hosts for its best clients.
