Fig Tree: a housewarming invitation template

Fig Tree is a housewarming supper invitation template in terracotta and olive ink, with a fig leaf and two ripe figs, for summer evenings in a new garden.

A broad three-lobed leaf spreads over a pair of speckled figs, all in olive line on a warm, sun-faded terracotta ground, and the seal is the deep purple of a ripe fig. The invitation comes out of a terracotta pocketfold, leaves blow across the page, and letterpress numerals mark the days. Plan drinks in the garden, a tour of the house, supper and figs for dessert. Figs and leaves tumble down after each acceptance. It suits a late-summer supper outdoors, a new home with an old tree in the yard, or a Mediterranean-style dinner on the patio.
