Who we are
Reponelle, at reponelle.com, provides digital invitations with online RSVP. Reponelle is responsible for the personal data described on this page (the data controller). For anything about your data, write to info@reponelle.com.
Account data
Creating an account stores your name, email address, a securely hashed password if you use email login (never the password itself), or a provider identifier for social login, your preferred language, when you accepted the terms, the page or site that led you to sign up and an approximate country derived on our server from the request address. The address itself is not stored. Signing in uses an essential session cookie. Address-confirmation and password-reset emails are sent through our email provider. Messages sent through the contact form (your name, email address, topic, message, the site language and an approximate country) are stored, emailed to our team so we can reply, and deleted after 24 months. Standard hosting access logs may be processed by the hosting provider.
Invitations and guest replies
When a signed-in host creates a personal guest link, we store the event details entered in the invitation builder (title, date, time and your time zone, place, optional map and photo links, message, language, dress code, programme, design and RSVP settings) and the guest’s name. Anyone with that link can see the invitation. When a guest replies through the link, we store the reply (going, maybe or not going), the number attending, any dietary preference and the note they write, and show them to the host in their account. When a guest opens their personal link, we record when it was first opened and, once they reply, when they first replied, but not who opened it, from where or on which device; each open also adds one to an anonymous daily total for the invitation’s language and design. Opens by the host while signed in, by browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control and by Reponelle’s own administrators are not counted. These times are used only for Reponelle’s own overall statistics, are not shown to the host and are deleted with the invitation. If the host uses the optional WhatsApp or LINE share buttons, the invitation message and the guest’s link are handed to that service, which handles them under its own privacy policy. Deleting the host account deletes its events, guest links, replies and open records.
Tips and news by email
Only if you tick the box when you create an account, or subscribe from your account page, we email you tips for planning your event and occasional news: a welcome series of three emails in your first week, sent once your address is confirmed, then occasional updates. We record when and where you subscribed as proof of your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, mail apps that support one-click unsubscribe can use it directly, and you can unsubscribe from your account page at any time. Emails about your account, like password resets, are sent regardless. We never sell or share your address.
Visit statistics
We count page views without cookies and without storing anything on your device. For each visit we record the page, the referring website, a campaign tag if the link had one, the device type, the browser’s preferred language, an approximate country derived on our server from the request address, and a visitor hash made from the IP address and browser with a random salt that is replaced every day and deleted after two days. The IP address itself is not stored and the hash cannot link visits across days. We also keep daily totals of a few actions, such as opening a template preview or following a link to the invitation builder, with the page, site language and design involved; these totals contain no visitor hash, address or anything else about who acted. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted, account pages are never counted, and page-view records and daily totals are deleted after 400 days.
Google Analytics
If you turn on Google Analytics in the cookie settings, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies on this site and receives your IP address, which Google uses to estimate your country and city and does not store. It helps us understand where visitors come from. It stays off unless you turn it on, it is never loaded on account pages, and you can turn it off at any time in the cookie settings.
Why we process this data
We process account, invitation and guest data to provide the service you asked for: creating your account, hosting your invitations, delivering each guest their link and showing you their replies. We process visit statistics and contact messages in our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and answering you. Tips and news by email, and Google Analytics, run only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who else sees it
Your data is stored on servers run by our hosting provider and emails are sent through our email provider; both act on our instructions. Google receives data only if you turn on Google Analytics. We never sell personal data and never share guest lists with anyone but the host.
How long we keep it
Your account, your events, guest links and guest replies stay until you delete them or your account. Contact messages are deleted after 24 months. Visitor hashes are deleted after two days, and page-view records after 400 days. Email addresses that unsubscribe are kept only on the suppression list that stops further emails.
Your rights and choices
You can delete your account at any time from your account page; this immediately deletes your events, guest links, your guests’ replies and contact messages sent from your address. If you signed in with Facebook, removing Reponelle in your Facebook settings also sends us a deletion request. Both ways, and how to check a deletion, are described at reponelle.com/en/data-deletion. You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it or object to how we use it by writing to info@reponelle.com; we answer within 30 days. If you are in a country with a data-protection authority, you can also complain to it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the new version is published here with its date. Changes that affect what we collect or why are announced to account holders by email before they take effect.
